About Unified in Recovery
A community built by and for people in recovery — and the friends, family, and neighbors who walk alongside them.
Our mission
Our mission is to walk alongside those living with substance use disorders and their families, meeting them right where they are and leading them towards a productive life in recovery.
Unified in Recovery is a Recovery Community Organization (RCO) — an independent, non-profit organization led by representatives of local communities of recovery. Our goal is to make others feel they are never alone, and that there is hope on their journey in recovery — helping each person find a pathway which works for them to achieve and maintain sobriety, through peer-based programs.
Our story
Unified in Recovery started around a kitchen table with a handful of folks who wanted a kind of meeting they couldn’t find anywhere else — peer-led, welcoming to all paths, and free for anyone who showed up. What began as a weekly circle has grown into a network of programs, events, and volunteers across the community, but the original idea hasn’t changed: pull up a chair, you belong here.
How we work
Peer-led
Every group, event, and program is led by people with lived experience in recovery. No clinicians at the front of the room, no scripts — just folks who have been there.
Judgment-free
We don't care which path brought you here or how many times you've started over. You are welcome exactly as you are, today.
Always free
No fees, no membership, no insurance forms. Donations help us grow, but nobody is ever turned away for any reason.
